5 or 6 c. peeled, fresh figs
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. all purpose flour
Butter
Pastry for 8 inch pie or phyla sheets

Directions:
Directions:
Combine figs, sugar and flour; mix well. Spoon into an 8 inch square baking pan; dot with butter. Roll pastry to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface; cut into 9x1/2 inch strips. Arrange strips in lattice fashion over fig mixture. Trim edges as need. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
