2 lbs ground beef
1 lb elbow macoroni
2 15 oz cans of tomato sauce
2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
1 white onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 C water
1 bay leaf
2 tsp dry basil
2 tsp oregano
1/4 C heavy cream (optional)
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Boil water. Cook pasta, drain and set aside.
2. In a large pot, cook beef
3. Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened 5-6 minutes. Drain off fat
4. Pour in pasta, water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bay leaf, oregano and basil. Stir
5. Lower heat, simmer 6-8 minutes or until pasta is al dente, sauce has reduced and water evaporates
6. Remove bay leaf, (optional - add heavy cream), season with salt and pepper.
7. Serve immediately
