2 cups soft butter
2 ½ cups sifted powdered sugar divided
4 cups flour
2 ¼ tsp vanilla divided
⅔ cup almond paste
½ cup toasted chopped almonds
¼ cup light brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.

Cream butter with 1 cup of powdered sugar in a large bowl. and beat until fluffy. Gradually beat I flour and 2 tsp vanilla. Cover an chill 30 minutes

Combine almond paste, almonds, brown sugar and remaining ¼ tsp vanilla. Shape the chilled dough around ½ tsp of almond paste mixture. Form1 inch balls. Place onto ungreased sheets and bake 15 minutes or until set. Roll in remaining 1 ½ cups powdered sugar.
