Cake Layer:
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter of soft margarine
4 eggs
16 oz. can Hershey's syrup

Mint Cream Center:
2 cups confectioners sugar
½ cup butter or soft margarine
1 T water
½ to ¾ Mint extract (peppermint flavoring)
3 drops green food coloring

Chocolate Topping:
6 T butter or soft margarine
1 cup Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cake Layer:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease 9 x 13 pan. In large mixer bowl combine flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and syrup. Beat until smooth. Bake 25-30 minutes or until top springs back when touched. Cool completely in pan.

Mint Cream Center:
Combine all of the above. Beat until smooth. Spread mint cream center on cake. Cover and cool in refrigerator.

Chocolate Topping:
In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chips. Remove from heat, stir until smooth. Cool slightly. Pour chocolate over chilled dessert using the back of a spoon to spread. Cover; chill at least 1 hour before serving. Store in refrigerator.
