Notes: This modified recipe comes from the 1990 edition of Floyd's Finest cookbook that was compiled by Barbara Carter, the UGA extension agent and 4-H teacher for many years. This is one of our family favorites and especially Carter's. On August 3, 2008 he and I were in the kitchen making banana bread and he asked if he could have this recipe and cookbook when I die. It was a little morbid, but he's funny like that. So I did what any mom would do and I took out a sharpie and wrote that on the back. I always think of Carter when I make banana bread, even though it is a favorite of everyone, especially warm out of the oven.
