⅓ cup Cornstarch
⅔ cup Sugar
½ tsp Salt
2½ cup Milk
3 Egg Yolks, beaten
2 tbsp Butter
1 tsp Vanilla
2-3 Bananas -or- 1 cup coconut
1 tub Cool Whip
1 Pie Crust

Directions:

Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt. Gradually add milk. Cook slowly until very thick and clear. Stirring occasionally. Slowly add small amounts of hot mixture to egg yolks stir. Then add this into your mixture. Cook 2 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. If doing coconut cream add coconut. If doing banana cream, layer bananas in the bottom of cooked pie crust. Pour cream pie filling into cooked pie crust. When cooled add whip topping or cool whip. Refrigerate.
