7 1/2 QUARTS POPPED CORN (NO LITTLE HARD BROWN THINGS!)

COMBINE IN LARGE SAUCEPAN:
2 C. BROWN SUGAR
8 OZ. MARGARINE (2 CUBES)
1/2 C. DARK KARO SYRUP
1 t. SALT

BRING TO A BOIL AND BOIL 5 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD 1 t. SODA - STIR 'TIL WELL MIXED. (WATCH OUT - IT FIZZES!) POUR OVER POPPED CORN AND STIR UNTIL CORN IS WELL COATED. PUT THE CORN IN 2 LARGE PANS (18"X12"X2"). BAKE AT 200 DEGREES FOR 1 HOUR, STIRRING EVERY 15 MINUTES.

STORE IN COFFEE CANS FOR THE FREEZER. KEEPS WELL IN TUPPERWARE OR PLASTIC ZIPLOC BAGS IN COOL PLACE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS.
