1 (2 - 3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
⅓ c. oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
⅛ tsp. pepper
1 bay leaf
c. dry white wine

Directions:
Directions:
Brown chicken in large skillet. Remove chicken, add onion, garlic, mushrooms and cook until tender. Return chicken to skillet. Combine tomatoes, salt, basil, oregano, pepper and bay leaf. Pour over chicken. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add wine and simmer 15 minutes longer. Remove bay leaf before serving.
