1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
½ c. shortening
2 eggs
3 bananas
1 tsp. soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla nuts - optional (he usually used black walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend all ingredients except nuts and mix well with mixer. (He used to let the mixer just go round and round so it was well blended!) Bake at 350º for 45 minutes in a greased and floured 5 X 9 X 2¾ bread pan.
