2 cans (28 oz.) Italian peeled tomatoes
2 cans (28 oz.) Italian crushed tomatoes
2 cans (16 oz.) tomatoe sauce

2 lbs. ground beef
1 large onion (chopped)

Directions:
Directions:
In a large frying pan, saute garlic and onions in oil; add ground beef and parsley and cook until browned. Discard excess fat and spoon into large sauce pot.

Using a blender, blend each large can of tomatoes with ½ can of tomatoe paste. Repeat this for all 4 cans. Pour into pot with ground beef. Add 2 cans of tomatoe sauce. Add fresh oregano, basil, garlic salt, salt and pepper.

Place cover on pot and cook on very low heat for 2 hours. Remove the cover and continue cooking for another hour. Add a small amount of sugar when done.

Cool and put in refrigerator overnight.

I use the meat sauce recipe when I make either lasagna or ravioli lasagna.

When making meatballs, I always defer to mom's original meatball recipe.
