1 1/2c rolled oats
1/2 wheat bran
1/2c walnuts
1/2c coconut
1/2c frozen chocolate chips
1/2c oil
1/2c brown sugar
1/2c honey
1tsp vanilla
1/2tsp cinnamon
dash salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oats, bran, walnuts, and coconut in large mixing bowl. In saucepan combine oil, brown sugar, honey, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Bring sugar mixture to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly; pour over oat mixture, stirring constantly. Pour mixture evenly in greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle with frozen chocolate chips. Press mixture and chips firmly into pan. Bake at 325º for 15-20 minutes. Let cool and cut into desired bar size.

This is a Michelle original. I searched high and low to find a chewy granola bar recipe that we liked, and I ended up combining, and through trial and error came up with this recipe. Once I added the chocolate chips, it got the Nathan taste test approval.
