Cathy Ramsey Quarles


2 cups Flour
1 tsp Salt
3 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Milk
3 Tbsp Butter
1 Egg
3/4 cup Sugar
6 Apples

Mix all ingredients except apples. Keep out 1/3 cup of sugar from the total
amount of 3/4 cup Sugar.
Grease & flour 9x11 cake pan.
Spread dough 1/2 inch thick in shallow pan.
Peel & Pare 6 apples, cut into eighths. Lay them sharp edge down in parallel rows
on top of the dough, pressing them in slightly.
Sprinkle 1/3 cup of sugar & dash of cinnamon over the apples.

Bake 350 30 minutes
