1 pkg. Duncan Hines white deluxe cake mix
½ c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 can, sliced peaches, drained
Maraschino halves, if desired
Whipped cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan. Drain peaches. Arrange peaches in sugar mixture. If desired, also arrange maraschino cherry halves, rounded side down in the sugar mixture. Mix cake as direct on label; spread batter over fruit. Bake about 45-50 minutes, until cake tests done with a toothpick. Let stand 5 minutes for topping to begin to set. The turn upside down onto a large platter or cookie sheet. Serve pieces of cake topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
