1 qt. strawberries 1 c. water 1 c. sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch a few drops red food coloring baked pastry shell or 1 pie crust
Hull and wash strawberries, crush about 8 of them. Combine sugar and cornstarch in a little sauce pan; add water and crushed strawberries. Cook until thick and clear add red coloring. Pour hot mixture over whole berries, turn quickly coating each berry with glaze. Turn into baked pastry shell or pie crust and chill in refrigerator. At serving time, top with whipped cream or ice cream.
