Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Sherry Severs


1 1 1/4 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite sized pieces)
1/4 c margarine or butter
8 oz fresh mushrooms sliced (about 2 cups)
1/2 c onion, diced
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 T flour
1 c water
3 T lemon juice
2 t beef bouillon (instant)
1/4 t pepper
1 8 oz container sour cream, room temperature
Noodles, cooked

In large skillet over medium-high heat, brown sirloin in margarine (butter). Remove from pan. In same skillet cook mushrooms, onion and garlic until tender. Stir in flour. Add water, lemon juice, bouillon, and pepper. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Stir in sour cream, then meat. Heat through. Do not boil. Serve over noodles.
