1 medium cabbage
1 green pepper
5-6 slices bacon
1 can diced tomatoes

Slice 1 cabbage and let it stand slightly salted. Slice green pepper and fry slowly with 4 - 5 slices of chopped bacon. Then add cabbage and simmer on low heat. The cabbage will shrink so add slowly to get all in pan. Add 1 can of diced tomatoes with juice after cabbage has cooked for 15 - 20 mins. Cook very slowly about 1 - 1½ hours.
