12- Dried Dates- pitted
1/4 c. Coconut flakes
Orange zest- optional
1/4 c. Nuts- optional

Directions:
Directions:
Slice a date lengthwise and remove the pit. Discard the pit.
Fill with various goodies.
My favorite was shredded coconut with some freshly grated orange zest on top. (To get the zest, simply take a whole orange and grate against a cheese grater to scrape off the rind. It looks and taste great together.)
I also like to use freshly roasted walnuts or pecans as the center of the date.
