Chicken:
1 large onion, chopped
1-2 tbsp. margarine
3 lbs. chicken
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 tbsp. paprika (enough to make chicken RED)

2-2 1/2 c. water

2 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. thick cream / milk

Dumplings:
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
6 eggs

Chicken:
Sauté onions in margarine then add chicken and spices. Cover and cook on low heat, stirring often until most of the liquid has evaporated. Add water and cook gently until chicken is done. Remove chicken.

Mix flour with cream / milk in a separate bowl, until there are no flour lumps left. Slowly add to pot, stirring to thicken. Add chicken and simmer a little longer to blend flavours.


Dumplings:
Combine all ingredients; mix well and drop by spoonful into a pot of boiling salted water. Cook until they rise to the top of the pot.
