2½ c. flour
½ tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
¼ tsp. salt

½ c. soft butter
⅓ c. shortening
1⅓ c. sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. lemon extract
2 eggs
1-2 tbsp. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl and set aside. Cream the butter and shortening then add the sugar and cream again. Add the vanilla and lemon extracts, the eggs and milk. Mix well. Stir in the dry ingredients. Roll out on floured surface and cut out cookies. Bake at 425º for 8-10 minutes. (May need to lower oven temperature...sounds too high to me!)

Decorate with favorite frosting and decorations!
