Ingredients: 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of butter (softened) 3 tablespoons milk 1 tsp vanilla 1 egg 3 cups all-purpose flour 1½ teaspoons baking powder ½ teaspoon salt

Directions: |
Directions:Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and set aside. Cream the butter and sugar till fluffy. Add the milk, vanilla and egg. Add all of the flour mixture at one time. Mix only until all the flour is incorporated and then mix together the rest of the way with a wooden spoon. This will keep your cookies from being tough.
To use a cookie cutter with this dough you will need 2 pieces of parchment paper, a rolling pin and access to a freezer to lay dough flat. Place a good amount of dough on the first piece of parchment paper and then lay the second piece of parchment on top. Use the rolling pin to flatten dough to desired thickness. Lay the dough flat in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Bring dough out and remove the first piece of parchment paper. Use the cookie cutters at this point to cut out cookies.
Place on parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minute at 350º. |
