Soup
1 c. uncooked rinsed wild rice
¾ c. diced celery
1 c. diced carrot
1 c. diced onion
4-5 garlic cloves
1½ tsp. each pepper and salt
1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
2 chicken breasts
1-2 bay leaves
6 c. chicken broth
2 c. water

Roux
5 tbsp. butter
½ c. flour
2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Soup: Combine all soup ingredients and cook 4 hours on high in crockpot. At 3½ hours shred the chicken and make the roux.

Roux: Melt butter and add the flour and the milk. Cook until thick on medium heat stirring constantly. Add to the soup and stir well. Cook additional ½ hour.
