5 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
4 whole black peppers
10 cardamon pods
4 Lipton tea bags
2 cups water
2 cups milk
Honey to taste

Directions:
Directions:
With a mortar and pestle, crush all the spices. In a saucepan or kettle, add water, milk and spices together and bring to a boil. Add tea bags and steep for 3-5 minutes to taste. Filter tea before serving.

This tasty spice tea is prepared to facilitate relaxation in the mother and encourage bonding with the baby. Honey is also used because it is thought by the Somali people to encourage healing of the uterus after birth.
