1 c. sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 c. peach juice (water if not using canned peaches)
6 c. peaches
1½ c. flour
1½ tbsp sugar
2¼ tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
6 tbsp shortening
1 c. milk
cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first three ingredients and bring them to a boil. Boil hard 1 minute. Take off heat. Add peaches. Pour into 9x13 pan. Dot with butter and sprinkle cinnamon. Combine flour, 2nd sugar, baking powder, and salt, then cut in shortening; add milk. Drop by spoonful on peaches. Bake at 400º for 25-30 minutes.
