3 c. sifted flour
½ tsp. baking powder
⅛ tsp. salt
1 c. butter
½ c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla

Icing:
Confectioners' sugar
Water
Food coloring
Sprinkles and other Christmas cookie decorations

Cookies:
Preheat oven to 350º. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Roll out ⅛" thick on lightly floured cutting board. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Icing:
Mix confectioners' sugar and water until desired consistency. Add drops of food coloring. Repeat for each color.

After all are baked and cooled, spread icing and top with Christmas cookie decorations.
