3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups milk
3 eggs separated
1 cup flaked coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon margarine

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put sugar, cornstarch, and milk into a pan over medium heat. Stir at all times.
2. Cook until a little bit thick. Add 1 tablespoon of the mixture into the beaten egg yolks.
3. Add the egg yolk mixture back into the pan. STIR AT ALL TIMES!
4. Continue stirring until thick. Remove from heat.
5. Add coconut, margarine, and vanilla.
6. Pour into baked but cooled pie shell.
