1 Tbl. extra-virgin olive oil
1 Tbl. sweet butter
2 cloves garlic(chopped)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 cup good quality vodka
1 cup chicken or vegetable stock
1 can tomatoes (crushed or fresh canned tomatoes)
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
Freshly grated black pepper
1 box pasta (your choice)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped or shredded
1/2 cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese

1 loaf of French bread or garlic bread

Directions:
Directions:
Heat a large skillet over moderate heat. Add the oil, butter, garlic and onion.
Gently sauce for 3 to 5 minutes until translucent.
Add the vodka to the pan slowly.
Reduce the vodka by half (this will take about 3 minutes).
Add the chicken stock and tomatoes.
Bring the sauce to a bubble and reduce the heat to simmer.
Season with salt and pepper.

While the sauce simmers cook the pasta according to the box.
While the pasta cooks, prepare the garlic bread or salad of choice.
Stir the cream into the sauce. When the sauce return to a bubble, remove it from the heat.
Drain pasta.
Toss the pasta with the sauce and basil leaves.
Serve immediately.

You can freeze half the sauce if you want.
