1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream first 4 ingredients. Add flour and mix. Make balls the size of walnuts and flatten with a smooth glass bottom that has been greased and dipped in sugar. Dip in sugar to flatten each cookie. Bake at 350 on ungreased cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes. Only grease bottom of glass one time.
