Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

3 cups AP flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 Tbl. Kosher salt
3 Tbl. sweet butter (slightly chilled and cut into small cubes)
1 1/8 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º
Sift the dry ingredients.
Cut in the butter until it resembles coarse meal.
Make a well and add buttermilk and stir to make a soft dough that leaves the sides of the bowl and sticks to the beater.
Turn onto highly floured surface and knead a little until all blended.
Roll 1/2 inch thick and then with a 2 inch cutter make biscuits.
Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Brush with melted butter.
Bake for 10-12 minutes (until golden brown).

These biscuits are wonderful when served warm with butter and the peach habanero jam. They also are a nice biscuit for dipping into the garlic roasted chicken dish.
