2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tsp ginger, finely chopped
2 tsp sesame oil, divided
⅓ cup soy sauce
1½ tbs honey
½ onion, sliced (or julienned)
¼ tsp salt
1 lb lean ground turkey or beef
1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
2 green onions, chopped (optional)
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:

1. Whisk the garlic, ginger, 1 tsp sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey in a small bowl. Set aside.
2. Heat the remaining tsp of sesame oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
3. Once heated, add the onion and sprinkle with salt. Cook 4-5 ,minutes until softened.
4. Add the ground meat to the pan. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to break up the meat into small chunks.
5. Add soy sauce mixture to the pan. Stir to incorporate.
6. Turn the heat up to medium-high. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the meat is cooked through.
