Ingredients:  
4 cups whole milk
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk.
Beat together slightly the eggs, sugar and salt.
Add hot milk to egg mixture. Mix thoroughly and return to boiler.
Cook slowly, stirring constantly until mixture coats a spoon.
Add vanilla last.

* This was a Christmas tradition for many, many years for our family. It was always served with fresh banana slices or even as an accompaniment to Mom Richardson's coconut cake! Delicious!!!!
