Indian Tacos Recipe

Llita Colyer (passed down from the Colyer family)


1 lb. hamburger
6 oz tomato paste
15 oz. tomato sauce
15 oz kidney beans (mashed)
1 pkg. taco seasoning

4 cups flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 tsp salt.
2 tbsp. sugar
1 3/4 cup water

Brown hamburger and drain. Mix together hamburger, tomato paste, tomato sauce, kidney beans and seasoning. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Mix together bread ingredients. Let stand for 30 minutes. Roll out and cut. Fry in oil.

Serve with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion , etc.

Extra bread can also be served tossed in powdered sugar and drizzled with honey!
