7 lb cucumbers
2 gallons water
3 cups pickling lime
5 lb sugar
3 pints vinegar
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon pickling spices

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and slice cucumbers and soak in lime water for 24 hours. Drain and soak for 4 hours, changing water every hour. Make syrup. Bring to a boil and pour over pickles and let stand overnight. Boil all together for one hour and place in sterilized jars and seal.
