6 lbs of apples
1-1/2 c sugar
2 tsp cinnamon.
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Peel & core apples. Put apples, sugar and spices in a crock pot (4 qts or larger). Cover & cook on high for 6 to 8 hours. Remove lid & cook on low, stirring occasionally, until the apple butter reaches a spreadable consistency and is dark brown in color. Place in jelly jars with lids & seals.
