4 cups sugar
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup whole milk
1 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 Tablespoons white karo
Chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in large boiler. Add both milks, butter and karo. Stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Stir occasionally until soft ball or 236º on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and cool 15 minutes. Add vanilla. Beat until thick and creamy. Pour out onto buttered platter.
