2 sticks butter, divided
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 lb bag frozen has brown potatoes (partially thawed)
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded sharp cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in stick of butter. Combine onions with remaining ingredients (except for bread crumbs) and mix well. Pour into well greased casserole. Top with 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs and 1 stick butter.
Bake at 350º for one hour.
