1- 18 1/2 oz. yellow cake mix
1 - 3 3/4 oz. package instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup oil
1 cup chopped pecans, almonds, or walnuts (optional-I never use!)
1/2 cup Southern Comfort
(or your favorite whiskey or bourbon-use Jack Daniels for "Jacked Up Cake)

Directions:

Combine ingredients and pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake @ 325 for one hour. Set on rack to cool. Invert on serving plate. Prick top-immediately drizzle with 1/2 glaze evenly over top and sides. Reserve 1/2 glaze. After cake has cooled, reheat glaze and brush evenly on cake.


Glaze:
1/8 pound butter
1/8 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup Southern Comfort (or your choice)
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in Southern Comfort

This recipe from Jerri is hands down one of the best cakes ever! Even non-drinkers love it--It is even better the next day (if it lasts that long!)
