Crust:
2 cups flour
½ cup sugar
¾ cup soft butter
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp vanilla
½ cup sliced almonds

Filling:
10 oz. apricot preserves
½ cup sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Combine all crust ingredients except almonds until it is coarse crumbs. By hand stir in sliced almonds. Reserve ¾ cup for topping. Press rest into 9 x 9 pan. Spread preserves over crust and sprinkle with almonds and reserved topping. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until it is light brown.

Cool and cut into squares.
