1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ cups brown sugar - divided
½ cup softened butter
1 cup pecan halved
⅔ cup butter
1 cup milk chocolate pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, 1 cup brown sugar and softened butter in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed 2 to 3 minutes or until it is fine crumbs. Pat the mixture into an ungreased 13 x 9 pan. Sprinkle the pecan halves evenly over the crumb mixture.

Combine ⅔ cup butter and remaining ½ cup of brown sugar in a small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until it is bubbly. Cook and stir one minute more. Pour into the pan spreading evenly over the crust. Bale at 350º 18 to 20 minutes or until the entire surface is bubbly. Remove from heat and sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes and use a knife to the chocolate slightly. Cool in the pan and then cut into squares.
