Shrimp Creole Recipe

2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/4/ cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons cornstarch (optional)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 garlic clove, crushed
28 oz can (3 1/2 cups tomatoes) do not drain
4 cups uncooked shrimp

In large skillet, saute green pepper and onion in margarine or butter until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well. Het to boiling. Simmer covered 12 to 15 minutes or until shrimp are firm and pink, stirring occasionally.

Serve over rice or grits.
