1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 Tablespoons powdered sugar
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream and butter, beat in evaporated milk a little at a time until the butter absorbs all of it. Add the vanilla.
Sift and flour with the salt and powdered sugar. Add a little at a time to butter mixture. Add nuts. Roll about one teaspoon of dough at a time between the palms of hand for each cookie. Place on a floured baking sheet and bake at 375º for about 12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar. Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.

*Growing up, these were one of Pam's favorite holiday treats.
