½ pound butter (2 sticks)
⅔ cup sugar
3 egg yolks
2 ¼ cups flour
¼ tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp almond extract

Directions:

Mix in order given.
Using spritzmaker, wind out a long log of dough.
Cut strips just long enough to make small O shapes.
Place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º for 3 minutes. Rotate cookie sheet and bake 3 minutes longer.
Cookies look pale on top but should be lightly browned on bottom.

Cool on racks, then store in tins with wax paper in between layers.
