1/4 cup vegetable oil
10 - 20 wings, separated and tips discarded
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 chicken oxo cube dissolved in
1/2 cup boiling water
2 Tbsp soya sauce
2 Tbsp cornstarch mixed with enough water to make a paste

Directions:
Directions:
Coat the chicken wings in the oil and spices. Broil 6 inches from the element until lightly browned. Turn and repeat on the other side. About ten minutes per side. Drain excess oil and fat.
Combine the rest of the ingredients.
Place the wings in a casserole dish or roaster. Pour the sauce over the wings and bake, uncovered at 400ºF for 40 minutes.
Baste wings in sauce halfway through the cooking time.
Serve with rice.
