2 c. pecans, chopped
1 stick butter or margarine (room temperature)
1⅓ c. light brown sugar
2 eggs (room temperature)
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ lb. candied cherries, cut in small pieces
½ lb. candied pineapple, cut in small pieces

Directions:
Directions:
1. Grease and flour pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches.
2. Spread nuts in pan.
3. Mix next 5 ingredients and spoon over nuts.
4. Sprinkle fruit over batter.
5. Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
6. Remove from oven and let cool.
7. Before completely cold, cut into squares.
