1 ¾ cup sugar
1 cup butter
½ cup hot water
3 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
Bottle maraschino cherries
½ cup milk ( I use juice from cherries)

Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs one at a time until combined. Mix baking powder with flour and add alternately with liquid. Beat together. Bake 350º for 60 minutes.
