1 c. Crisco                                                            
½ tbsp. Salt                                                                       

Directions:
Directions:
Put all three ingredients in a food processor, flour first, Crisco second and salt last. Pulse until ingredients will mold in hand and will crumble easily. Dump in large bowl and make sure there is small crumbs, but not big crumbs. Pour very cold water into dough and toss until it is like play dough. Make ball until there are no cracks and is solid. Flour hard surface and roll dough with roller and consistently flour dough to prevent sticking. Make a good sheet of dough and put into pan. Cut some edge of easy to work with while cutting. Crimp with fingers then bake in pie dish.

My neighbor Clare, who worked at the Blue Owl, showed me how to make these one Thanksgiving. I went to her house and we made pies. It tasted like it came right out of the bakery.
