Stuff Green Peppers Recipe

4 large green bell peppers
1/2 lbs hamburger meat
3 T chopped onions
1 t salt
1/8 t garlic salt
1-1/2 - 2 C cooked rice
1 can (15oz) tomato sauce
1 small can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1-1/2 C shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 350

Cut stems off peppers, cut them in half, lengthwise, remove insides, rinse. Cook in enough boiling water to cover for 5 minutes. Remove, drain and place in baking dish.

Cook meat and onion in skillet, till done. Drain. Stir in salt, garlic salt, rice, the large can of tomato sauce, and 1/2 of cheese. Heat. Scoop into each pepper. Pour remaining small can of sauce over peppers. Cover, cook for 45 minutes at 350. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake 15 minutes longer.(bell pepper needs to be soft)
