Directions:Mix egg and milk and marinate chicken breast in mixture for 1-hour.
Mix flour, powdered sugar, pepper and salt together.
Remove chicken from milk bath and dredge through flour mixture, then redredge in milk bath and recoat with flour mixture. You can repeat this process 2-3 times. The more times you do it the thicker the crust will be on the chicken.
Fry chicken pieces in peanut oil in a deep fryer at 375º until golden brown.
Toast butter buns in toaster oven, assemble with chicken and pickle slices. |

Notes: When we lived in Illinois, there wasn't a Chick-fil-A anywhere near us. My kids were deprived and that was unacceptable (because chick-fil-a is delicious) so we had to find an alternative and this was the closest thing we could find. It immediately became a family favorite and now I just use this recipe to make fried chicken with mashed potatoes and little baby green peas instead of just sandwiches.
