Lemon Loaf with Lemon Glaze Recipe

For the Loaf:

1 stick of unsalted butter
1 c. of sugar
2 large eggs
1 lemon, juiced and zested
1 c. of flour
1 tsp. of baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. of vanilla
c. of cream (half n half works well)

For the Glaze:

1 1/3 c. of powdered sugar
of lemon, juiced and zested
tsp. of vanilla

Directions for the Loaf:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a loaf pan.
Cream and butter sugar together.
In a separate bowl, mix eggs and vanilla well; add lemon juice and zest.
Add egg mixture into the creamed sugar and beat slowly.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Bake for 40 minutes.

Directions for the Glaze:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined; spread over warm loaf.
