Cake:
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
1 box (3.4 oz) of instant French vanilla pudding
2 c. milk
6 oz. cool whip, thawed

Topping:
chocolate syrup

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, boil water and butter together. Remove from heat and add the flour and sugar; mix with a hand mixer. Next, beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and mix well. Spread into a lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan or jelly roll. Bake at 400º for 25 minutes. (The cake will not be smooth or uniform in appearance.)

Mix filling ingredients together and spread over cake. Allow to cool completely; drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.
