5 eggs
5 Cups all purpose flour
1¾ tsp salt
1⅔ cup water

6 TBSP butter or margarine

1 cup finely chopped onion

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl beat eggs until frothy. Add flour, salt and water. Beat well. Batter should be too thick to pour from a spoon. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter into pot of boiling water. When they rise to the top cook for 1 to 2 minutes more. Remove with slotted spoon to bowl. Keep hot.

Melt butter in frying pan. Add onion. Sauté until soft and clear. Add to spaetzle. Toss.
